Morocco participates for the first time at the Viva Technology Roadshow

The Minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, leaded the Moroccan delegation made of up of key players in the digital and innovation ecosystem.

Co-organized by the Ministry of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy, the Digital Development Agency and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency, this participation aims to showcase the Moroccan tech ecosystem and position it on the international chessboard of technological innovation, with investors and major global contractors.

VivaTech is one of the major global tech events and has, since its creation, brought together start-ups, innovation leaders and investors to present the latest digital innovations and foster collaborations between large groups and start-ups. Nearly 80,000 visitors are expected at this 3rd edition of VivaTech with the participation of 1,800 exhibiting start-ups, as well as big names in digital technology and global technology.

16 Moroccan start-ups have been selected to take part in this great mass of digital innovation as it offers them the opportunity to present their innovations, interact with industry stakeholders and establish relationships with investors and large groups. To this end, a matching program has been established with a view to optimizing the know-how of start-ups and ensuring they benefit from the required visibility.

Over the three days of the show, the Moroccan pavilion will serve as a showcase for start-up projects developed in the fields of health-tech, agri-tech, green-tech and gov-tech, among others.

Several other activities, events and meetings are also on the program of the Moroccan participation. They all aim to increase the visibility of the national technological ecosystem, to share visions and experiences and to strengthen cooperation with African partners, particularly with the aim of accelerating the growth of the continent’s digital ecosystem and to make it an active lever for development and progress.
